LAN Gaming Trip

Yesterday me (Jordy), Benny, Shawn, Cheng Jun and Hong Jie went LAN Gaming. Benny (sorta) lead the way and we did see some more expensive LAN Stores, until we came to the one you could see from outside the shopping centre. I never actually went to one of these stores; they are so dark and noisy that it gives me the feeling I am at a pub and a fight's gonna occur or something. It's like something bad is going to happen. We bought a 2 hour game for like $2.30; quite reasonable. The computers really look expensive; dunno how you start a LAN store, you're really going to need a big capital. So for the next 2 hours we played Counterstrike (BTW, Me and Cheng Jun have never tried Counterstrke) and Shawn pwned us all. We kept playing with the swimming pool map the water was great for surprise attack; we also shot into the pool quite often.
It was a great experience but we all agreed going for a movie is much more worth it.
P.S. Continue study during the holidays. You can still have fun but set aside an hour for study in the morning when you are fresh. But before that excercise and read the Bible first to keep you fresh and motivated. THEN you have fun :)

hey guys hope you guys are enjoying your holidays!!! By dilan and i hate tamil

Benny:

Hi, I am Benny. I am cool

The book i read in the library: Shawn

Hi, this is shawn posting, pardon me for my english and any grammar errors etc. I am writing to the best of my ability to share what i learnt to you. (Been visiting the library recently to improve my england)

Listening to imeem: Although thousand collapse by CHC

Last month or so, I had a personal meeting with Ivan. He told me two things which my life lacks/need more-faith, and desire.

Faith- In the bible it is written that without faith we are unable to please God. Soon then i kept praying on it.

Desire- To be a leader in church + DESIRE.

And today as i was in the library, as i was browsing the very first book i took from the shelf was SEIZE THE DAY by Danny Cox. As i sat down in one corner and started reading it, it really impacted me. Whatever i learnt and was taught to have in church seem to be reflected in the book. (And It seems that God has planned it just for me)

THIS IS THE GOOD PART..don't miss it

In the book i learnt many things, firstly that "every person within an organization plays a role in leadership. And An organization is a system. In a system, the performance of each component has an effect on the performance of the organization as a whole". This is true for F2 as Wayne said that each of us is important and we must stay connected. If we aren't we are like a computer with 3o components with one wire leading to the motherboard.

Secondly, Commitment is also needed as a "personal commitment to high performance influences your circumstances. The greater your commitment to personal high performance, the better the circumstances for you and everyone in the organization." Wayne also told us to be commited to church remember?

Third i learnt that, Vision and dreams are important too, in F2 context we aim to grow 50 by the end of this year. And i learnt We will be able to achieve it if the "individuals within an organization willingness to adopt the vision and commmitment of the organization's leadership. One of the primary challenges of leadership is to market its vision to the individuals in the organziation and entice them to embrace the vision as their own."

Also lets not have "Self Imposed barriers" as i learnt from the book, as it gets higher and wider when individuals focus on their own weaknesses as pointed out to them by friends, employers, teachers, parents, conventional wisdom, etc." instead if we "shift focus to develpoing strengths, it immediately weakens self-imposed barriers". With God nothing is impossible, 50 can one lah.

As we step into a new season of inviting friends, one thing i learn from Ivan (as well as from the book), the difference between people is the desire. Burning desire (as said by the book) and having confidence (or faith),

One thing that really brought me down in the past was fear.
The fear of imminent life changes and increase in personal perfromance will require. The fear of unable to meet the standard. But instead of looking at the problem, i looked at what the problem can develop in me, and i went back to my instrument- the bible. And seeked God.

Also in the book, i learnt that we must not "repeat yesterday", not continueing to do what we already know doesn't work (thats whats written in the book as well as what Wayne taught me). So lets try different methods to bring friends if one method doesnt work.

And As we reach the end of the year, its not about winning or being number one, its about running the good race and pursuing our best.

If you are wondering why i know all these- i read it from the book, and what i learnt from Ivan and Wayne.

Hope u are inspired.
All the best in your incubation. God bless F2

Finally

Kevin:
Finally,
I've stopped procrastinating enough to type you a beautiful, deep and thoughtful post.

My results are out, and what I've seen is nothing short of a miracle. I have 6 A1s, 2 A2s and 1 B3.

This is a miracle.

If you've seen what I've been doing during the exam period and my results are truly a miracle.

During the pre exam period, I've been coming to church for all three services, never compromising. I've served actively in ministry, came on crew for both live feed and usher (I have no idea how I got there.) I remember the day before the exams, I was doing live feed duty. Even before the exams, I was still convicted to go three services a week plus connect group. Even with going through all this, I can still achieve this kind of results. It is not through my might, but God's power. Through God's power, I was able to study till 2am every night before the exams. Through God's power, I was able to rise up in leadership even through the exams.

I just think that this entire season is to build faith in me. Faith that I can do it. Faith that through God all things are possible. Faith for the revival. Confidence in my abilities. Faith in my capacity. I've learnt to lean on the Lord and just depend on Him. Have faith in him. Not to rely on myself anymore.

This entire season, I've grown

Genesis

I'm watching football now.
England vs Belarus or whatever.
Belarus play like Arsenal, in a way..
Rooney just scored!
Thanks to Heskey's ultimate act of selflessness.
Well if you want a team to work out, you need someone to support the goalscorer and of course, the goalscorer himself.
But more often than not, these two work hand in hand.

Alright, this is the new CG blog!
I'm super excited, because this is the genesis of a legacy.
I want to look back at the end of the year, and say, "We created the blog with a dream to grow the CG to 50, and now we are there.".
Man the best part of a dream is to fulfill it.

To make this blog alive and pumping, we have a few competitions!
1.Most amount of posts
-Spam posts are not counted.
2.Most inspiring post
3.Group with the highest growth rate

Of course, all winners of these 3 competitions would get a small reward yeah.
People work better with encouragement, not discouragement.

So, I challenge you!
A new board would be created to show the status of the 3 competitions.
Lets grow, grow, grow!
From 30 - 50(:
